Artists work in many mediums - Paint, metal, stone, wood, fabric, glass, words, music etc. For a landscape photographer the medium is natural light, and sometimes light and water happen to combine in just the right way to splash a masterpiece across the sky.....

This is a huge amount of sky and takes in Avalon Beach in the north to well past South Avalon headland. The scene is all about the heavens "the up" and the soft feathering clouds "the down".

And there's something about this photograph, something I don't get? It should not work! And yet here it is, tearing at me.
