Nature is awesome and overwhelming in it's beauty and when it turns on you never really feel alone..... This image was taken from beside Avalon tidal pool, looking north east to Indian Head, 10 minutes after sunrise.

The soft warm light at sunrise and sunset results from dust and smoke particles more concentrated in the atmosphere at sea level. At altitude the air is crisp and clean resulting in the vivid white light, shown here, as the sun nips the top of the billowing clouds left of center. Possibly 30,000 ft.

In this extraordinary photograph we see the beautiful fleeting moment of dawn and simultaneously, at a more elevated level, we are prompted to ponder what the day my bring. Mans intrusion into the image adds a sense of strength and formality, fenced off from natures random pallet.
