Artists work in many mediums - Paint, metal, stone, wood, fabric, glass, words, music etc. For a landscape photographer the medium is natural light, and sometimes light and water happen to combine in just the right way to splash a masterpiece across the sky.....

I took this amazing photo a year ago - 16th March 2007 at 6:48pm - Half an hour before sunset.
Just a hint of broken light filtered through the dark, moody, windless, clouds as the distant rain fell away in the slowest of slow motion and the entire scene, seemed to catch it's breath in anticipation.
Just like I did when I stumbled onto this shot again.
