Avalon tidal rock pool is the lowest tidal pool on the Northern Beaches. Being susceptible to inundation by any swell it also happens to be the cleanest and most exciting. At high tide it’s the same as being in the ocean so keep an eye out for the next big set and watch the kids.
The end of the pool is also the launch pad into the surf and NASA cadets know the score.... Choose the right moment or you’re going to get nailed....
Photography is the same thing. Choose the right moment and a beautiful image, with a compelling storey, can be the reward. Also, within this image are the reasons I love shooting into the sun - The light/dark balance just seems to happen and back lit waves knock me over every time.
