About the photographer.... :: Stephen set up his first laundry darkroom in 1967. His passion and skills developed with experience and study of the techniques of the great masters ranging from Ansel Adams to David Hamilton. Unique photographic and darkroom ability led him into the North Sydney Advertising industry where he worked his own professional studio and specialist photo lab through the 80’s & 90’s. His Agency clients included George Patterson, Satchi & Satchi, McCann Erickson, Mattingly’s, Foster Nunn Loveder, John Singleton, Young & Rubicam and others. Here he was regarded as a master in his field
:: Stephen made Avalon his home in 1982 and is passionate about the area and its inherent spiritual and physical beauty. In Stephens words: “Everywhere I look I see a masterpiece.” :: Stephens main interest is with "Scape" photography - Landscape, Cityscape,
Seascape, Skyscape etc. He believes that you don't need to travel the world
to photograph beautiful landscapes. They are right there in your own backyard.
